A Donna Unclaimed chapter 05

Alvaro—that was the fake name Griffin’s mother had invented for my so-called “affair partner.”

Ever since Griffin had been driven abroad by me, I had never seen him again. And the moment he heard my words, his face instantly turned ashen.

Vivian, sitting beside him, immediately smiled and said,

“Rosa, don’t misunderstand. When we were abroad, I tried dieting a lot, and Griffin used to scold me all the time. He doesn’t like girls who are too thin. He says it doesn’t feel good to hold them.”

Then she looked at Griffin with a sweet smile, “Griffin, am I right?”

But Griffin didn’t even glance at her. He suddenly stood up, shoved his chair back, and said coldly,

“I’m going to the bathroom.”

Without another look at either of us, he turned and walked away.

Watching his back, a dull ache spread through my chest again.

Had I messed everything up again?

Ruined Griffin’s new life. Ruined his new love. Guilt slowly rose in my heart.

Then, across from me, Vivian suddenly picked up a cup of hot coffee and splashed it directly onto my face.

“You disgusting pick-me bitch. Do you think I’m stupid? You keep acting pitiful just to seduce my fiancé.”

The hot liquid burned across my skin.

I clenched my fists tightly and forced myself to stay calm.

“I’m sorry. If I made you misunderstand, I apologize.”

Vivian sneered and stood up. The next second, she walked over and slapped me hard across the face.

“You think pretending to be disabled will make Griffin come back to you?”

“I’m telling you, Griffin is mine for life. Don’t think just because you’re his first love, you can take him away.”

My cheek burned and went numb.

I could tolerate the coffee. After all, I was the one foolishly clinging to Griffin’s gentleness.

But I could not accept being slapped.

Without thinking, I pushed her away, “Vivian, if you touch me again, I will call the police.”

The moment I finished speaking, Vivian suddenly fell to the ground and let out a painful scream.

“My stomach… help me… someone’s attacking a pregnant woman!”

I froze completely, staring at my own hands in disbelief.

I had been sick for six years. I was so weak that even getting dressed tired me out. Sometimes I could barely hold a cup of water.

There was no way I had the strength to push her like that. I had only pushed her away to stop her from hitting me.

But now she was on the ground.

And just as I stood there, panicked and confused, Griffin suddenly appeared in the dining hall.

Seeing Vivian on the floor, he rushed toward her immediately.

“Vivian! Are you okay?”

She burst into tears at once, grabbing his collar tightly.

“Griffin, save our baby… Rosa, she tried to kill me!”

“She started insulting me the moment you left. She said you were garbage she didn’t want anymore. I couldn’t take it, so I splashed water on her…”

“But then she got even angrier. She called me a disgusting bitch, said I was picking up her leftovers.”

“I couldn’t control myself and slapped her once. Then she pushed me.”

“You know I’m pregnant. I can’t handle even the slightest impact…”

I stood there completely stunned.

My lips trembled as I tried again and again to speak.

“Griffin, listen to me… it’s not like that. I… I didn’t—”

But before I could finish, Griffin suddenly roared.

“Rosa, why are you so vicious?!”

“Six years ago, you shamelessly cheated on me.”

“And now, when I’m about to get married, you suddenly decide you want me again and even attack my fiancée?”

He stormed over and kicked my wheelchair in a fit of rage.
