Chapter 6
One Year Dead, I Decide to Visit My Boyfriend in a Dream Chatper 06
Greg hadn’t been in the Heaven community for long, but he showed no sadness of someone who’d just died. He looked glowing.
Holding his arm was a… young female ghost?
I knew Greg’s wife. We used to be on good terms. This was definitely not her.
He’d barely been dead—was he already seeing someone new?
When Greg saw me, he made no attempt to hide it and walked over to greet me. “You own this shop? I heard about you as soon as I got here. If Ryan knew you’re doing well here, he’d be relieved.”
I didn’t want to mention Ryan, but bringing him up reminded me of Greg’s wife.
I couldn’t help but mock him. “Yeah. I’m sure your wife would be so relieved to see you having such a good time down here.”
But Greg acted like he didn’t understand my sarcasm and nodded seriously. “When I save enough money, I’ll send her a dream and tell her.”
Could this man have any shame?
Greg wandered into the shop, rambling. “You and Ryan have known each other for over ten years, right? After you died, he fell apart. He was a total mess. Last month, when I was in the hospital for cancer treatment, I ran into Ryan.”
I’d been ignoring him, but those words finally got my attention.
“You saw him… in the hospital? Why was he there?”
“Overdosed on sleeping pills. Had to get his stomach pumped.”
I gasped.
Greg looked deeply at me. “When you make enough money, go to the Dream Keeper and send him a dream. Tell him to live well and stop missing you. Dead is dead. The living still have to keep going, right?”
