Chapter 10
One Year Dead, I Decide to Visit My Boyfriend in a Dream Chatper 10

“Do you think it’s weird that Mason isn’t reacting at all after finding out?”
In the dream, I rested my chin in my hands and sat across from Ryan, confused.
“What kind of reaction did you expect?”
“Crying? Yelling? Anything. Just not like this.”
He went to work as usual every day, as if nothing had happened.
Ryan said casually. “Probably because he thinks he’s already dead and can’t interfere too much in the living world.”
I didn’t like that.
“Are you gonna say we ghosts shouldn’t meddle in your living people’s business?”
Ryan frowned. “Nonsense.”
I leaned closer, curious. “Ryan, haven’t your parents told you to find someone new?”
Probably because my mind jumped too fast, Ryan paused for a few seconds and glanced at me. “Find someone new? I don’t have enough money to send her things.”
He was making fun of me again!
I was about to get angry when Ryan started coughing.
I frowned. “What’s wrong with you?”
“Nothing. Just a cold.”
“Has it been a long time?”
“Maybe. I don’t remember.”
I noticed Ryan’s health was visibly getting worse.
A man who used to run 1,500 meters without breaking a sweat now caught colds constantly.
I even found a pill bottle in Ryan’s room that day. I asked him what it was, and he lied and said vitamins.
But when I entered the dream again a few days later, the bottle was gone.
The biggest barrier between the living and the dead is, if he deliberately hides something, I have no way of knowing.
I originally wanted to ask if Ryan’s poor health was related to me entering his dreams so often, but before I could find out, my shop got into trouble.
The Heaven community cracked down on vendors. My shop was shut down for being “immoral and vulgar.”
It was a bolt from the blue.
I relied on this shop’s income to see my man. Now they even took my home away.
“What now?!”
I was frantic and could only go to the Dream Keeper for help. “They shut it down so suddenly. I made an appointment to see Ryan. If I stand him up without saying anything… it’ll be like making him accept my death all over again.”
“I told you to take it easy and save some Heaven Coins, but you wouldn’t listen.” The Dream Keeper shook his head. “I’ll get my salary next month. My savings can cover five minutes of dream time. You can use it first.”
“Really?”
I was so grateful I took several toys out of the warehouse. “These are all for you.”
The Dream Keeper’s face darkened. “Keep them. Thanks.”
I originally just had to wait for the Dream Keeper to get paid so I could see Ryan.
At least I could say hello and let him know I didn’t leave him voluntarily this time.
But a few days later, the Dream Keeper sent me a message.
“I’m afraid I can’t help you anymore.”
“Why?”
The Dream Keeper gritted his teeth. “Jake was released on medical parole. Now he’s threatening to kill my son.”
