Chapter 12
One Year Dead, I Decide to Visit My Boyfriend in a Dream Chatper 12

The sky was endlessly blue.
Large clouds dotted it.
The sun shone on my face, making my eyes water.
My whole body felt like it had fallen apart. The real feeling of soreness in my back almost made me cry.
I couldn’t help but sigh. That ghost who traded merit was really strong!
Following my memories from when I was alive, I walked to Ryan’s house.
But a stranger opened the door.
He told me. “The owner sold the house half a year ago.”
“Sold?!”
“Yeah, sold in a hurry. Said he needed money urgently.”
Needed money urgently?
Was Ryan short on cash?
But he never mentioned it to me in the dream.
I walked out in a daze, only to realize I had nowhere to go.
I didn’t have a phone, didn’t have Ryan’s contact information. He’d even moved.
Finding someone in the living world was much harder than in Heaven.
“Miss?”
Suddenly someone called me from behind.
I turned around. A teenage boy stood behind me.
The boy was about as tall as me, and he looked really familiar.

I narrowed my eyes for a long time before gasping. “You’re… that kid?!”
Mason’s son!
I actually ran into him here!
He wasn’t as surprised as I was. He blinked. “Are you looking for Brother Ryan?”
“You know him?”
The boy nodded. “I live with him now. He told me to come get you.”
My eyes widened. I didn’t understand what was going on.
Full of doubt, I followed him. We turned through several small alleys and finally stopped at an old apartment building.
“You live here?”
He nodded and walked up, all the way to the top floor before taking out his keys.
Just as he was about to open the door, it was opened from the inside first.
Then I saw that tall, slightly thin figure.
He had a familiar smile on his face.
Tears just streamed down my face.
The boy tactfully slipped into the room, leaving me and Ryan alone.
Neither of us spoke. Ryan took my hand, walked around the empty living room, and led me into the master bedroom.
This was the room I’d seen in his dreams.
The decoration inside didn’t match the rough, empty exterior at all—it was exactly the same as our old bedroom.
No wonder I never noticed anything wrong.

“When did you sell the house?”
Ryan coughed a few times, calmed his breath, and said. “Half a year ago.”
“Was it to send me things?”
Ryan just looked at me and didn’t answer.
But I knew I was right.
I’d been too busy saving money down there to realize that the cost of all those bulk goods fell entirely on Ryan.
I didn’t know what to say, so I hugged Ryan tightly.
This was a movement I had done countless times in dreams.
But only this time, I felt warmth.
Human warmth.
Ryan hugged me back just as tightly.
Just like in the dreams before, he lowered his head and kissed my forehead, slowly saying four words.
“Welcome home.”
Mason had used a hundred years of merit to exchange for a chance for me to return to life.
But these were things from our time in Heaven. How did Ryan know?
And why was Mason’s son living with him?
After the excitement passed, I finally couldn’t help but ask.
“Mason entered my dream.”
“What?”
“Mason came to me in a dream. Five minutes. He asked me to take care of his son. And… you.”

“So those last five minutes were actually for me?”
I thought Mason had used those five minutes to go to Jake’s dream, but he’d lent them to me instead.
Just to see Ryan on my behalf.
Thinking about Mason’s square face, my eyes became wet.
I’d wondered what “abusing his power” meant. Turns out Mason had broken into Jake’s dream by force.
Vengeful spirit?
He was just a silly ghost.
Later, Mason’s son asked me if I’d seen his father down there.
I didn’t tell him that Mason had been wiped out.
I only said that his father had become a hero down there and would bless his children and grandchildren forever.
“This is what your father asked me to give you.”
I handed the boy the game console Mason had always played with. “Don’t send anything else anymore.”
Down there… no one could receive it.
