I Borrowed Money From My Bullies Before Faking My Death Chapter 02

“I got into a car accident two years ago,” Knox said, perfectly matter-of-fact.
“Forgot a lot of things. But —”

He let out a dry laugh. “Don’t tell me. You’re some ex-girlfriend from before I lost my memory?”

“No, no, no.” I shook my head fast.

The second I realized he’d actually forgotten, a quiet rush of relief hit me. I forced a smile. “Sorry. I won’t follow you anymore.”

He stared down at me. I couldn’t tell if he bought it.

Then, just like he used to.

He lazily pulled off my black glasses. Fingers gripped my chin and forced my head up.

I still didn’t meet his eyes. My lashes trembled.

“I hate mice,” Knox said, a smirk in his voice. “But my brother loves them.”

“No!” The word ripped out of me as my eyes snapped up.

Knox had lost his memory from the crash. But his brother? No way.

I knew exactly what his brother was capable of.

“You don’t get a choice.” Knox’s voice was ice.
